Althams Butchers Ready Meal Facility / Food Factory Construction

Althams Butchers is one of the oldest and largest independent family owned & run butchers in the country specialising in quality meat and meat products for wholesale, serving hotels, restaurants (including several Michelin Star establishments), pub chains, conferencing venues and catering companies UK wide. McVeigh Projects worked alongside Althams to design and build their new state of the art production facility to include a cooking room, blast freezers, chillers, wash rooms and changing areas. The new cooking room was constructed using Eurobond Firemaster composite wall and ceiling panels along with Bluseal sliding doors which achieves the require 60-minutes fire rating. Temperature controlled areas such as blast freezers and chill rooms were built using HPT Control composite panels. An independently suspended walk-on ceiling system was installed throughout the facility, also in HPT Control composite panels, which allows the following trades to lay new service runs out of sight away from the production areas below.
